Cookie Policy

What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They serve various purposes including remembering your preferences, analyzing website usage, and enabling certain functionality. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your device.
How We Use Cookies
CoreSocialMedia.com uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Ensuring the website functions correctly (essential cookies)
- Understanding how visitors use our website to improve it (analytics cookies)
- Processing payments securely (third-party payment cookies)
- Remembering your accessibility preferences (local storage)
Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies (Required)
These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They include:
- WordPress session cookies — Maintain your session while browsing. Duration: session (deleted when browser closes).
- CSRF/Security tokens — Protect against cross-site request forgery attacks. Duration: session.
- Cookie consent preferences — Remember your cookie choices. Duration: 12 months.
- Cloudflare cookies (e.g., __cf_bm) — Security and performance optimization. Duration: 30 minutes.
Analytics Cookies (Optional)
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting anonymous usage data. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4):
- _ga — Distinguishes unique users. Duration: 2 years.
- _ga_[container-id] — Maintains session state. Duration: 2 years.
Google Analytics data is anonymized and aggregated. We do not use it to personally identify you. We have a Data Processing Agreement with Google and have configured GA4 to anonymize IP addresses.
Third-Party Cookies
When you interact with certain features, third-party services may set their own cookies:
- Stripe — When you visit the pricing page or checkout, Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing. See Stripe’s Cookie Policy.
- Calendly / TidyCal — When you use the demo booking widget, the scheduling service may set cookies. These are only loaded when you interact with the booking feature.
Local Storage
Our accessibility preferences widget uses browser local storage (not cookies) to remember your accessibility settings (text size, contrast mode, etc.). This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers. You can clear it through your browser settings or by clicking “Reset All Settings” in the accessibility widget.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can manage cookies in several ways:
- Cookie consent banner: When you first visit our site, a consent banner allows you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie icon.
- Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may impair website functionality.
- Google Analytics opt-out: Install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on to prevent Google Analytics tracking across all websites.
Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Currently, there is no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. Our site does not currently respond to DNT signals but we respect your cookie consent preferences as described above.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our technology or legal requirements change. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised date.
