How to Cancel Your Subscription
You can cancel your CoreSocialMedia subscription at any time, for any reason, with no questions asked. Cancellation is entirely self-service — you do not need to call, email, chat with, or speak to anyone.
Step-by-Step Cancellation Process
- Step 1: Visit the “My Account” link on our website, or go directly to your Stripe Customer Portal
- Step 2: Enter the email address associated with your subscription
- Step 3: You will be redirected to Stripe’s secure Customer Portal
- Step 4: Click “Cancel plan” or “Cancel subscription”
- Step 5: Confirm your cancellation. Stripe will show you the date your service will end.
That’s it. No retention calls, no guilt trips, no hidden steps.
What Happens After You Cancel
Your Service Continues Until Your Billing Period Ends
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, not immediately. For example, if your billing date is the 15th of each month and you cancel on March 3rd, your subscription remains active until March 15th. You continue to receive all services during this time, including content creation, platform access, and communication with your dedicated professional.
No Further Charges
After your current billing period ends, your payment method will not be charged again. Stripe will send you a confirmation email when your subscription officially ends.
Content Ownership
All content created during your subscription — social media posts, videos, graphics, blog posts, email templates, ad creatives — belongs to you permanently. You may continue to use, distribute, and modify this content for any lawful purpose after your subscription ends.
SMCMS Platform Access
Your access to the Social Media Content Management System continues until your billing period ends. We recommend downloading any content or materials you want to retain before your access expires. After deactivation, your SMCMS data is retained for 90 days (in case you resubscribe), then archived.
No Refund
Cancellation does not trigger a refund for the current billing period. Your service continues through the paid period. See our Refund Policy for details.
Downgrading Your Plan
Instead of cancelling, you can downgrade from VIP ($1,499/month) to Standard ($499/month) through the Stripe Customer Portal. The change takes effect at your next billing cycle. Your content, SMCMS history, and brand profile carry over seamlessly.
Pausing Your Subscription
We do not currently offer a formal pause option. If you need a temporary break, you can cancel and resubscribe when ready. If you resubscribe within 90 days, your previous SMCMS data and content history may be available.
Resubscribing
You can resubscribe to CoreSocialMedia at any time by visiting our pricing page and selecting a plan. If you resubscribe within 90 days of cancellation:
- Your previous brand profile may be restored
- Your content history in SMCMS may be available
- You may be assigned the same dedicated professional (subject to availability)
After 90 days, you will go through the standard onboarding process as a new client.
